Eric Burns is a tattoo artist located in Northern Virginia.

Eric moved to Northern Virginia in 1994 when his family relocated following his father starting his own company. In 1999 Eric attended Virginia Tech and graduated with a BS in Biology and minor in Biotechnology. Rather than pursue a career in the field of biology, Eric found himself working on comic and children’s books.

After a few years, Eric switched career fields and entered the world of restaurants and remained for the next 10 years working in the kitchen as well as serving. It was during this time Eric got extremely interested in tattoos and got the majority of the pieces he has.

Eventually Eric left the food service industry and was at a crossroads on what to do, but was presented with the unique opportunity to become a tattoo apprentice. Eric began his apprenticeship at Northern Virginia Tattoo Company in March 2019 and completed it in April 2021.

When not tattooing, you can find Eric working on various art projects, playing video games, or doing goofy photoshoots with his dogs Oliver, Mosby, & Molly.
